Online Reputation Management
An marketing concept that’s been becoming more observant and aware this year is reputation management. I’ve been reading more into managing your reputation online. It is certainly an area that I think larger brand names should be concerned about. It can take years of good business practices, marketing, and PR to establish a brand name. But it can only take one single negative event, product review, or bad experience to destroy all that you’ve done to build your image. Take for instance Wal-Mart. If you do a search for “wal-mart,” the 5th result is Boycott-Wal-Mart. Online Reputation Management should clearly be an integral part of your overall marketing strategy. As participate and experiment more with monitoring online reputation, I’ll post more information and resources about it. Just know that it’s something you should be aware of should you be looking to build your business and brand name.
